The facts about local SIMs and roaming come from the sources below.
Coverage in Chișinău, Orheiul Vechi, Cricova, Mileștii Mici and Soroca
Moldova has three national networks: Orange Moldova, Moldcell and Moldtelecom. 4G reaches most of the country, and 5G is available in Chișinău and other larger towns. The signal is weaker in the hills and in some rural areas. Moldova is not in the EU or the EEA, but the EU's roam-like-at-home zone covers it since 1 January 2026.
The QR code shows on your order page and by email, seconds after payment. Save it before you leave the page.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, a full refund if the eSIM doesn't work and we cannot fix it. A working eSIM is not refunded because you changed your mind. Write to contact@europesim.eu with your order link.
Do I get a Moldovan phone number?
No. Our plans carry data and do not come with a local number. Your home number stays on your phone.
Who sells the eSIM?
EuropeSIM is operated by LuKas Holdings sp. z o.o., Warsaw, Poland. We sell the plans ourselves. We are not a carrier.
Does an eSIM work in Moldova?
Yes, on a phone that takes an eSIM and is not locked to a carrier. Our plans for Moldova run 1 to 60 days and also cover 32 more countries.
When should I install the eSIM?
Install it while you are on Wi-Fi, so that you can scan the QR code and follow the steps. The plan page says when the days of the plan start.
Which network will I use?
The network shows on each plan before you pay, as soon as the store confirms it. Moldova's national networks are Orange Moldova, Moldcell and Moldtelecom.
Do my apps work in Moldova?
Yes. The eSIM gives your phone mobile data, so apps such as WhatsApp, Viber, Google Maps, Bolt, Glovo, Hip and map.md work as they do at home.
Where can I buy an eSIM for Moldova?
Here, online, before you travel. Choose a plan on this page; you do not need to find a shop when you land.
