The QR code shows on your order page and by email, seconds after payment. Bookmark the order page or save the QR code before you leave it.
Before you start
- The phone must support eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. Dial
*#06#: an EID on the screen means the phone has an eSIM chip. The phone list names the confirmed models. - Be on Wi-Fi, or on mobile data you already pay for. Airport Wi-Fi is enough; installing at home is calmer than installing in arrivals.
On iPhone
- Open Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Service.
- Choose Add eSIM, then Use QR code.
- Scan the QR code on your order page.
The menu names differ a little between iOS versions. If you cannot find the entry, search the settings for “eSIM”.
On Android
- Open Settings, then Network and internet, then SIMs (some phones say SIM manager).
- Choose Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead.
- Scan the QR code on your order page.
Names differ by brand. A search for “eSIM” in the settings finds the same screen on most phones.
When the code will not scan
A QR code can usually be installed only once, so do not delete the eSIM after you add it. If the camera cannot read the code, the order page also shows the SM-DP+ address and the activation code, which you can type in by hand.
